500 Sign Ups ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Two weeks ago, Convo's user count surpassed 500. This is a significant milestone, I think, especially considering that this growth has been purely organic. I have only posted a few things about Convo online and haven't spent any money on marketing during the ten months since its release.

Convo also has a number of new features that I've added over the last several months. Here are the most significant.

โœจ๐Ÿ”— Magic Link Invitations. Magic link invitations are links that you can message to your friends in order to invite them to your events. These days, most of us don't know our friends' email addresses, but we do know how to connect through texting or other messaging platforms. Magic link invitations allow you to leverage these modern ways of connecting to invite your guests.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Feed. Convo's Feed aims to be a safe place online where you can passively share content with your friends. It requires less attention than a group chat, but aims to be more intimate than large, impersonal platforms like Facebook and Twitter. The way it works is that you receive a daily digest email of everything that was shared with you on Convo that you haven't yet seen. If you've already seen everything, you don't receive any email at all. There are no push notifications or red dots that hijack your attention or cause you anxiety. Convo's feed aims to be a slow-paced and serene from of social media that respects your time.

Here's what the first iteration of Convo's feed looks like.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Multiple Hosts. This has been Convo's most requested feature. Now, when creating an event, you can select additional hosts. Hosts appear under the "hosts" heading on the event page and are always allowed to invite additional guests to events.

๐Ÿ“ธ Basic Photo Sharing. You can now share photos on event pages and in Convos themselves. This feature is fairly basic at the moment, but I have plans to add more advanced featuresโ€“such as being able to upload and view multiple photos at onceโ€“over the next few months.

In addition to these features, I've also submitted the paperwork to form an LLC for Convo in the state of Washington. I expect Convo to be a real company by the middle of next month.

Thank you for taking the time to check out Convo. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to start a Convo with me!
